On temporary housing in Ukraine
Some notes on shelter this week.
In 2017, I defended my doctoral thesis on people forced to move west from what is now western Ukraine as the Red Army advanced in 1944. Last year, we saw history repeat itself as millions of Ukrainians fled west to safety.
As a journalist whose interests include both Ukraine and architecture, I have been following architects’ efforts to house people who have lost their homes since the Russian invasion, like the project below.
